Haoyuan, founder and perfumer of cent.pm, has been trained in the ISIPCA&IFF, scent design and creation program for three years. Growing up in multi-cultural environments, I always pay attention to the fluidity of an identity and its characteristics. Likewise in my creations, I find joy in re-presentation of the raw material across diverse cultures. It's the shared emotions that unite our senses and ideas, for nothing else truly distinguishes between languages.
Xiner XU, creative director of cent.pm, has been trained as a photographer in Royal College of Art, London.
With a deep intuition for photographic art and visual imagery, I find the language of fragrance akin to capturing fleeting moments in time. Like a photograph, scents freeze and preserve the essence of a memory, allowing for the infusion of subtle emotions into creation work. Escaping the confines of a frame, scents become an index to the imaginary worlds, offering a portal to realms both familiar and fantastical.
